The Lagos State Police Command has said that it recovered 23 stolen vehicles from suspected car thieves between August 23rd and 30th within the metropolis.
The recovered vehicles include; a blue Renault space bus with registration no. EPE 506 AU, six Toyota camry cars with registration no AW 44 KSF, LSR 846 BL, FN 924 LND, RJ 846 AAA, KSF 172 AE and HY 271 AAA, a white Nissan crystal pick-up, KSF 318 AD, Mazda 626 S/car, DW 550 GGE, three Volkswagen buses, FST 93 XE, BDG 945 XC and FKJ 200 XF, a black Toyota avenza, FST 431 AZ, two Toyota corolla cars with registration no CL 528 LSR and GE 101 LSR, Nissan sunny car, MUS 352 BE, Peugeot 406, KTU 300 AU.
Others are, a white unregistered Volkswagen golf 3, a blue Volkswagen Golf 3 with registration no KZ 281 EKY, Honda accord car, TV 09 AAA, Toyota highlanded jeep, FST 604 AZ and a green Honda odyssey.
The Lagos Police PRO, Ngozi Braide, called on the owners of the recovered vehicles to come with their original documents to claim them.
“Claimant should endeavor to check the engine numbers as the original registration numbers may have been tampered,” said Ms. Braide.
Ms. Braide further advised the public to be more security conscious and report suspicious persons to the police.
The Command also said that it received reports of cases of four missing persons within the same period in the state.
The victims include Ibukun Joy,13; Bose Akande, 16; Tochukwu Agana, 14;, and Ogunode Thomas, 70.
